Mr. Anthony - Language Arts, Team LeaderThis is Mr. Anthony's 17th year teaching language arts - his 12th in Carmel after 4 years in a suburb of the great city of Cleveland, Ohio. He is a proud graduate of both Allegheny College and Ursuline College. Mr. Anthony was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and is a fan of all Cleveland teams. He now lives in Indianapolis with his wife, two children, three cats, and one dog. In addition to typing in the third person, Mr. Anthony enjoys writing and being a sponsor for the Carmel Middle School Drama Club. He is proud to be a Carmel Middle School Cougar!

Mr. Chou - ScienceAlthough born in Los Angeles, Mr. Chou was raised as a proud Hoosier in Munster, Indiana, for most of his life. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington with studies in Biology and Psychology (undergraduate) and Education (graduate). This will be his fourth year teaching 7th grade science at Carmel Middle School and he's excited to meet and work with all the new students.

Ms. Hampton - Social StudiesMs. Chealsie Hampton graduated from Ball State University where she got a degree in both History and Social Studies Education. Ms. Hampton is from Jeffersonville, Indiana (right across the Ohio River from Louisville), but enjoys teaching here in Central Indiana. Ms. Hampton loves Pomeranians, coffee, museums, and most importantly, teaching! She looks forwards to a long and fun career here at Carmel Middle School.

Ms. Hartman - Pre-Algebra & Math 7Ms. Katelynne Hartman is teaching math for her second year at Carmel Middle. She is a graduate of Oakland University in Michigan where she threw on the track and field team. Last year she coached the Carmel Middle High Jumpers and looks forward to coaching track again this year. In her spare time, Ms. Hartman enjoys snowboarding, spending time with friends and family, and training her three dogs.

Mrs. Machemer - Wellness"From an early age, I knew I did not want to sit at a desk all day long. I love to move. To be able to work with children every day is motivating and energizing!"
Mrs. Machemer is a recent transplant from the banks of Lake Erie. After a 17 year career in a suburb of Buffalo, she moved to Indiana in 2015. She has a passion for Health & Physical Education. Her specialty sports include: tennis, basketball and softball but she has tried her hand at a little bit of EVERYTHING. One proud professional highlight includes the creation of an annual student triathlon. Go Cougars! |
